The Priory Theatre has been a feature of the Warwickshire town of Kenilworth for over 70 years. We can trace our roots back to 1932 when, as the Kenilworth Players, our founding members performed The Rising Generation by Wyn Weaver and Laura Leycester. We have been in our present location, in a converted 19th Century Chapel, since the 1940s and are run by our members for the benefit of the local community.
The Priory Theatre is a self-funding theatre run by our members for the benefit of the local community. We produce around 9 productions a year including a broad mix of entertainment; comedy, drama and pantomime. We are a member of the Little Theatre Guild and are very proud of our standard of productions and our friendly atmosphere.
We have a thriving Youth Theatre, and the theatre has an extensive range of costumes and props available to hire. We work closely with many charitable organisations in the area that regularly book performances at special rates to raise funds for their organisation.
Our Box Office is open for telephone bookings from 2.00pm-8.00pm seven days a week, and can be contacted on 01926 863334.
The Theatre itself is opposite Abbey Fields in Kenilworth. The best place to park is in the Abbey Fields Car park just down the road.
If you're looking for our Wardrobe Department / Rehearsal Studio, this can be found directly at the Zebra crossing on Rosemary Hill.
