Compton Verney

Compton Verney,
CV35 9HZ

Compton Verney’s chapel was designed by Lancelot ‘Capability’ Brown. It was built between 1776 and 1780 when the grounds were re-landscaped. It is one of the few surviving Georgian chapels in Britain and a rare example of Brown’s remaining architectural works.

Visitors will be able to gain access during normal open hours between 15 February and 15 December 2014.

Compton Verney's Chapel Restoration appeal has received a huge boost thanks to a generous donation from the J Paul Getty Jnr Charitable Trust, who have donated £25,000 to help preserve this outstanding building for future generations
