Royal Shakespeare Theatre,
On the third floor of Royal Shakespeare Company's newly transformed theatres in Stratford-upon-Avon, the Rooftop Restaurant and Bar supports and promotes the very best of British cooking using produce from Warwickshire, the West Midlands and around the UK.
The dining room boasts stunning panoramic views of Shakespeare's home town, the River Avon and surrounding countryside. Original 1930s art deco features combine with elegant modern furniture to create an informal yet striking dining space unlike any other in the Midlands.
The restaurant is open daily from 11.30am (12 noon on Sundays); serving freshly prepared and simply cooked modern British food in informal surroundings throughout the day and into the evening. Ingredients are seasonal and menus change regularly. A children's menu is also available.
Whether it's a light meal, a family lunch, a drink in our bar, a pre-theatre meal or a night out with friends, the restaurant is for everyone looking for an informal atmosphere with great food and friendly service in unique surroundings.
Seeing a show?
A fixed price pre-theatre menu is available from 11.30am for matinees and 4.30pm for evening performances with one, two and three course options available starting at £11.50.
Once the performance starts, the pace in the restaurant slows and we are able to offer a more extensive Dining Menu with a range of dishes that build on our commitment to local, seasonal produce. Accessible and unpretentious, high quality and delicious, the menu provides the perfect backdrop to an evening with friends, family or colleagues.
