"We've used Shakespeare Country to help find us venues over the last 6 years and they've always come up trumps! They've taken time to understand our needs, present a shortlist and show us round the selection. There is no apparent premium on prices - in fact in most cases the pricing is better than we could have obtained direct - and they've never charged us for their services. Well done Shakespeare Country!"

Le Bistrot PierreLe Bistrot Pierre

Le Bistrot Pierre in Stratford-upon-Avon boasts a beautiful riverside location in Bridgefoot. The exquisite decor is decidedly French in style, with the accent on a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere. The prices are most definitely "bistrot" and offer superb value while the interior is of smart "brasserie" but in no way stuffy or formal. You can sit back, relax and enjoy French classics like steak frites and moules marinières or try something a little bit more exotic such as the 'Les Landes' duck leg confit with lentils, bacon lardons and French beans. If you are vegetarian, why not try the 'cassoulet aux troix haricots' (three bean cassoulet with gorgonzola polenta) or one of the delicious risottos the bistrot has to offer?

The variety of menus means there is something for everyone, from the prix-fixe lunch and pre-theatre menus to the sumptuous six course Soirée Gastronomique and Dine with Wine menus that offer something a little different twice a month. In addition to lunch and dinner throughout the week and weekend, Le Bistrot Pierre is also open for breakfast. The home-made pancakes with maple syrup are delicious as is the very generous cooked breakfast that includes free range eggs, local sausages and Stornoway black pudding. And if you are just in the mood for a drink, the wine list is inspiring too.

The beautiful and comfortable surroundings combined with a warm, friendly and buzzy ambience makes this the perfect place to dine, whether it is a special occasion or to simply catch up with friends!

The emphasis at Le Bistrot Pierre is simple but flavoursome provincial French cooking at outstanding value.
