2012 Olympics

The 2012 Olympics Games will be held in Stratford, East London, not Stratford-upon-Avon in central England. However, the International Shakespeare Festival will be a major part of the Cultural Olympiad from 2008 through to 2012 and links Stratford-upon-Avon with Stratford, London by involving both the RSC and The Globe Theatre. It will engage the relevance of Shakespeare to today's modern struggles and competitiveness with Stratford's across the world.
