Shakespeare Country to host exclusive travel trade fam trip

Shakespeare Country is to host an exclusive travel trade fam trip to provide an insight into what's new for 2010. The ‘Shakespeare Country 2010' press fam will take place on Friday 19 March. The event, which is free to attend, is expected to attract around 50 group travel organisers. The fam is being organised in conjunction with the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust, Royal Shakespeare Company and Warwick Castle. Highlights will include a tour of one of the Shakespeare Houses, a behind the scenes tour at the RSC, followed by lunch and an exclusive preview of new tours at Warwick Castle.

The day, which will start at 10:00am and end at 3:00pm, will include a tour of Shakespeare's Birthplace followed by a visit to Nash's House where guests can witness preparations for the archaeological dig which is about to begin in the grounds. This will be followed by a short walk to the RSC where guests can delve behind the scenes at the Courtyard Theatre and learn about the new world-class theatre next door.

After a short coach journey to Warwick Castle, guests will be treated to a complimentary lunch in the Georgian Coach House restaurant followed by an exclusive preview of ‘Shakespeare's Secret', a brand new tour for 2010. Afterwards guests will have some free time to explore the Castle grounds and meet the trade team and guides before returning to Stratford-upon-Avon.
