Getting to Shakespeare Country and getting around once you're here couldn't be easier. The area is served by excellent road, rail and air networks.

TRAVELLING BY CAR

Shakespeare Country has excellent links with the motorway network with easy access from the M40, M42, M1 and M69.

Approximate journey times if you're travelling by car from:
Bath - 1½ hours Birmingham - 30 minutes
Cotswolds - 30 minutes London - 1½ hours Oxford - 1 hour

ELECTRIC VEHICLES
Shakespeare Country welcomes owners of electric vehicles. In Stratford upon Avon there are two charging points installed at the Park & Ride located off Bishopton Lane near to the roundabout with the A46 and the A3400 Birmingham Road. In addition to these, The Arden Hotel on Waterside in the centre of Stratford has two charging points available installed by Zero Carbon World. In Leamington Spa there are two charging points installed in the St Peters Car Park and two at Covent Garden Car Park.

TRAVELLING BY TRAIN

Stratford, Warwick, Leamington and a number of other towns and villages in the area are connected to Britain's rail network.

CHILTERN RAILWAYS run direct trains from London Marylebone to and from Leamington, Warwick, Warwick Parkway and Stratford upon Avon. The stations in Leamington Spa, Warwick (not Warwick Parkway) and Stratford are all just ten minutes walk from the town centres.

CROSS COUNTRY trains run services to Leamington Spa from Birmingham, Reading, Manchester, Oxford, Southampton and Bournemouth.

LONDON MIDLAND run trains from Stratford upon Avon to Birmingham Moor Street.

TRAVELLING BY AIR

Shakespeare Country is ideally placed for customers arriving by air. In fact we are closer to our two local airports than Central London is to London's Gatwick and Heathrow airports.

Coventry Airport is just 15 minutes away - the closest major airfield to Shakespeare Country. Visitors to the region arriving by helicopter, general aviation and indeed business jets can be accommodated there.

Birmingham Airport is 30 minutes away. It provides fast, easy access to Shakespeare Country from the Airport via mainline rail and the national motorway network. With over 50 airlines and over 500 destinations, Birmingham Airport enables connections to Shakespeare Country from around the World for the International visitor.

Coach set down points: Windsor Street (Shakespeare's Birthplace only), 3 minutes from town centre and Waterside by the Royal Shakespeare Theatre.

Riverside Coach Park: approx. 5 minutes walk from town centre. Open 24 hours. Nearest toilets in Leisure Centre, refreshments available at Leisure Centre (seating 150). Up to 4 hrs £4.20, up to 8 hrs £6.30, up to 24 hrs £7.40. CV37 6BY.

Coach set down points: St. Nicholas Park and Puckerings Lane.
Coach parking: Myton Fields, 3 spaces, 10-15 minutes’ walk from town centre. Open 24 hours, April to October. Toilet on site (open weekends and bank holiday). Nearest alternative toilets and refreshments at St. Nicholas Park. CV34 4QY.
St Marys Land Area 1: 25 spaces, 15-20 minutes’ walk from town centre, open 24 hours all year (except race days), toilets at Market Square.

Coach set down and pick up point: Newbold Terrace.
