There are a number of small theatre companies in Shakespeare Country including The Loft Theatre in Leamington Spa, Bridge House Theatre in Warwick, the Talisman and Priory Theatres in Kenilworth and the Belgrade in Coventry. A number of touring companies also perform plays in Shakespeare Country including Chapterhouse, Lord Chamberlain's Men, Oddsocks and Shakespeare's Globe, who perform at such diverse locations as Coughton Court , Coventry Cathedral, Mary Arden's Farm, Packwood House and Warwick Castle.
Live entertainment isn't restricted to theatre, some of our larger venues stage open air concerts. Ragley Hall at Alcester had Jools Holland and his band on Saturday 2nd July 2011. August 2012 went with a 'bang' with a Battle Proms concert on 11th August 2012 at Althorp Park and on 18th August 2012 at Ragley Hall.
If you prefer cinema to live theatre, there are two main cinemas locally, the Apollo in Leamington Spa and the PictureHouse in Stratford upon Avon. There is also a 160 seat cinema within the Royal Spa Centre in Leamington Spa.
