Explore Shakespeare Country by following one of four leisure drives routes
If you are looking to combine a short break with walking, cycling or gentle exercise then Shakespeare Country is the perfect choice. Explore the area on a guided town walk or ghost walk; take a country ramble through wooded glades and across gently rolling hills. Follow tranquil nature trails and scenic cycle routes. If you haven't brought your own bikes with you then you can hire them from Stratford Bike Hire.
From country parks and nature reserves to way-marked trails and footpaths, there are many ways to explore Shakespeare Country on foot. Take a gentle stroll alongside the River Avon or walk the Greenway to Long Marston. Or you could walk up the famous flight of 21 locks between Warwick and Hatton on the Grand Union Canal. If you fancy something even more exhilarating then take a walk up Dovers Hill or to the Tower at Broadway. Make sure you build in time for rest in one of our many welcoming country pubs and inns.
