St Mary's Church has some lovely Norman carved church mice and an apple map (tapestry showing old orchards). Morris Dancing has been a long established tradition in Ilmington.
The famous Nobel Prize Winner and Member of the Order of the Merit, Dorothy Hodgkin, lived here. She identifed penicillin and insulin.
