Weoley CastleHistoric HouseWell preserved ruins of 13th century fortified manor house. Following the granting of a licence to crenellate in 1264, the Lords of Dudley commenced building the stone structure that we see today in the 1270s. The stone complex replaced an earlier timber phase of Norman date. It is described as being in a ruinous state by the time of the English Civil War.
