Details

Willey - Annual fair.

This is another village with a small population, lying just off the Roman road Watling Street (the modern A5). It became important when, with a charter granted by Henry III, it started having an annual fair and weekly market.

St Leonard's, the 14th century church, was largely rebuilt in the 1860s.
